Friday – September 8th – Revelation 11:11
11:11) Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LITTLE SIN BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH PERSON AS A LITTLE GOD TO SIN AGAINST.*
Hello Friday! For those who are not part of the Daily Walk Bible reading program, it is probably important for you to know that the month of September is spent in reading the words of the ancient prophets found in the latter part of the Old Testament. As a whole these guys get very little notoriety, with the few exceptions of a verse here or there repeated in the New Testament by Jesus or by one of the apostles. Our inspirational thought for today perfectly sums up the heart of the message God was trying to get across through the ministry of those labeled as the minor prophets. Their words were overlooked, ignored, and laughed at during their day and time. Their messages are still relevant today, and sadly still disregarded today.
In our pick verse today, John delivers a comforting word to believers, yet a disturbing word to those who reject Jesus. The victory celebration of the world over the church was short-lived and way premature. God in Heaven always has the final say over everything that happens. You can imagine the shock, horror, and disbelief when those presumed dead for over three days, on fully public display, received a breath of resurrection life from God. Fully reminiscent of the resurrection story of Jesus, believers now have God’s promise on full display that we too will be resurrected at God’s perfect time. Don’t make the fatal mistake of gloating over the temporary triumphs of Satan, when all the while God is doing His thing for all the world to see. Don’t let your family or friends make that mistake either.
Blessings
