Good Saturday to you! What a great, almost fall, weekend for us to enjoy. Blog Saturday has now become a reminder and promo time for weekend worship. This Sunday we will be exploring the importance and value of keeping focused on our personal spiritual journey. The moment we decide to become a follower of Christ we become enemies of the evil one. From that moment on, the devil will do all in his power to distract us from growing, or even staying in the faith. The apostle Paul has great encouragement to the believers in Philippi. His words still ring true today. Join us in the building at either 8am or 9:45am. Online live-stream is at 9:45am with on-demand options starting at 11am.
In our pick verse today, John continues to share with his readers the victory the church receives from God at this moment in history. If the resurrection scene in verse eleven didn’t cause enough turmoil to the rebellious people on earth, imagine the reaction when the voice of God boomed done from the heavens for all to hear. The church, which was seen as an enemy to the ungodly, received a personal invitation from the creator of all that exists to join Him in Heaven. What a powerful witness to a fallen world of God’s power, majesty, and righteousness. It is hard to believe that with each event transpiring before them that people would still stubbornly resist accepting the truth of God.
