11:18) The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth."

Good Wednesday to you! Just a quick reminder that this evening (Wednesday) we begin the 10-week fall semester of Journey of a Lifetime Bible Study at SunRise. This class takes an overview look at each book of both the Old and New Testament. This week we will discuss the basics of the book of Judges and the book of Ruth. Class begins at 6:30pm in the Worship Space with live-stream option also available beginning at 6:30pm. For those attending in-building I will have copies of the material available for those who do not yet have a workbook. To provide an opportunity for parents with younger children the opportunity to attend our Family Ministry Seeds program will be held at the same time on Wednesday evenings. See you this evening!
In our pick verse today, John continues recording the words of the twenty-four elders that surround the throne of God in Heaven. As we read yesterday, Christ’s return will bring great rejoicing in Heaven as God is praised for His perfect plan for the world’s redemption. But on earth, the nations who oppose God will be filled with hatred and anger. Both the righteous and the wicked will come before God to be judged. God will reward and bless the saints but destroy those who have rebelled against Him. God’s final plan for His creation is beautiful for those who have confessed their belief in Jesus. As the old hymn states – “what a great day of rejoicing it will be” when all believers get to Heaven.
