Sunday – September 24th – Revelation 12:8-9 (part 3)      ------

12:8) but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.
9) So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE PERSON WHO INSISTS UPON SEEING WITH PERFECT CLARITY BEFORE HE OR SHE DECIDES NEVER DECIDES.*

Hello Sunday! How true is our inspirational thought for today, especially when we are in the beginning weeks of teaching series that focuses on faith. I am one of those people who likes to gather as much information as I can about a situation before I decide on what to do. I also know from years of experience that there is a limit to what I can discover, and at some point, I need to trust God and jump out in faith. I am reminded of the Indiana Jones movie where he must step out in faith onto a path that is invisible. All he can see with his eyes is a great big chasm between him and his goal. Perfect clarity was not an option for him, and neither is it an option for us.

In our pick verses today, we take a third look at the great dragon being cast from Heaven. This third time the devil faces off with the angelic army may well be what John sees in his vision. This points to the time in future history when Christians are martyred because of their unwillingness to renounce their faith in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, it is projected to be a time very shortly before the end of the age, when “he (Satan) knows that his time is short” (v12). This, then must be the final exclusion for the devil from having access to God shortly before the promised and long-awaited return of Jesus. And yes friends there is a part four tomorrow to wrap us these two verses.

Blessings
