Monday – September 25th – Revelation 12:8-9 (part four) -----
12:8) but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.
9) So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TODAY’S PREPARATION DETERMINES TOMORROW’S ACHIEVEMENT.*
Welcome to Monday! What a perfect inspirational thought as we begin this last week of September. What is on your “want to accomplish” list for this week? What steps or preparation do you need to take to start or complete this idea? Maybe one of the bigger questions is how does this support the work of the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth? Does your idea/concept/project/agenda bring glory to the name of God. The Bible is filled with stories where God gladly blesses our initiatives that follow His Word, His Will, His Way, and His When. I will be praying for the achievements you accomplish tomorrow.
In our pick verses today, we conclude our four-part examination of the battle that records the fall of Satan from the presence of God. During this time of battle the dragon will be further unmasked for the wicked character he truly is. First, he is called the devil, which from its Greek origin means “slanderer”. Second, he is called Satan throughout both the Old and New Testament. In Hebrew, Satan translates as “accuser”. Third, he is the one who leads the whole world astray with his deceptive temptations that subtly mask the truth of God. All this began with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden and has affected every human generation through the ages. The serpent will continue deceiving right down to his bitter end. As believers we are more than victorious when we trust in Jesus.
Blessings
