THE PROPHETS LAID BARE THE MORAL AND SPIRITUAL CONDITION OF THE NATION.*
Happy Wednesday! Our inspirational thought for today carries a greater significance than merely being a historical reference to the time of the ancient prophets of Israel. Every generation of humanity has been influenced, deceived, and/or corrupted by the work of the evil one. Throughout history God would send prophetic voices to warn the people of the wages of their moral and spiritual sins. And in each generation some folks would hear and repent, while many others would laugh, snicker, and walk away from God’s truth. I wonder who/where are the prophetic voices of our day, and even more so what is God’s message we need to hear?
In our pick verse today, we learn of God’s reward to the faithful in the last days of the world. The factors listed in this verse that will result in our victory over the tactics of the devil should be memorized by all believers. Christians will overcome Satan, then and now, because of the blood of Jesus Christ, and because of their/our willingness to give testimony to a faith in the blood of Jesus. We are we willing to speak about on behalf of the Kingdom of Heaven -even it will mean severe persecution or even death. True faith in God always requires a sacrifice of some degree. What is the highest level of witnessing we are willing to offer God before it becomes too great a sacrifice?
