Thursday – September 28th – Revelation 12:12 -----
12:12) Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TO DO NOTHING IS TIRESOME BECAUSE YOU CANNOT STOP AND TAKE A REST.*
Good Thursday to you! Our promo today is for another great opportunity on Saturday October 7th. Our first Saturday of the month commitment to serve at the Sharing Shed will be next Saturday from 9am – 11am. If you can spare a few hours helping others by sorting, organizing, and/or assisting the Sharing Shed clients pick out furniture and other home necessities you will be part of a team who are making a big difference in their lives. We have a handful of openings left for our October serve date. You can access them by heading to the event page at either the SunRise website or the SunRise app. Thanks!!
In our pick verse today, John continues to write down the instructions he is to share in his Revelation letter, from what he has observed and heard in this end of times vision. The victory won by the forces of Heaven over the armies of the devil comes as a two-edged sword. The inhabitants of Heaven are called to rejoice because Jesus has overcome the work of Satan. However, the other side of that sword, is a woe to believers on earth because Satan knows his ultimate and final defeat is sure and coming soon. He is therefore doing all in his limited power to oppose Christians in the short time that he has left. More terrors await those on earth as the devil is filled with rage and fury for, he has never before faced such utter defeat. The old saying is true – beware of an animal backed into a corner, for they have nothing to lose at this point.
Blessings
Pastor Jim
