Saturday – October 7th – Revelation 13:5 ------
13:5) And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WE ARE NEVER ALONE WHEN WE ARE ALONE WITH JESUS.*
Hello Saturday! Our first full weekend in October has arrived, and with it cooler temperatures to remind us we are heading into long sleeves and sweater weather. I hope you have some fun fall activities to fill your weekend. On Sunday we will celebrate the fourth week of our current series “It Was By Faith”. We are hanging out in Hebrews 11, looking at the stories behind those whom the author states it was by faith that each of these folks received eternal life in God’s presence. This weekend we look at the story of Noah who found favor in God’s eyes.
In our pick verse today, we continue to read John’s vision of the works of the great beast from the sea who comes to try and destroy the believers at the end of the ages. The devil in true form uses the Antichrist to spew several expressions of evil slander that are filled with self-pride and are directed to blaspheme the name of God. By its definition, blaspheme means to try and harm one’s reputation. The only tactic the devil believes will work in his favor is to defame God’s character while elevating his own worth above God’s. As this verse indicates the Antichrist will be limited in the length of time God will allow this perversion of truth to continue.
Blessings
