Good Tuesday to you and yours! Just a reminder it is never too late to join the Wednesday evening “Journey of a Lifetime” Bible study. We still have six weeks left in the fall semester. We are currently hanging out in the Old Testament books of history and wisdom. We meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings in the building, as well as live streaming the study. All classes are available on the SunRise YouTube channel for on-demand viewing. Childcare is available through the Family Ministry SEEDS program.
In our pick verse today, John describes the way the unsaved will respond to the lies and deceit of the Antichrist. When it is all said and done, there are only two distinct divisions within humankind. First there are those who hear the Gospel message and respond in faith to follow Jesus and as a result their names will be written in the Lambs Book of Life. Second, those who are not Christ followers are instead followers of the beast, and therefore followers of Satan. While many of these folks would never self-identify as worshipers of Satan, their rejection of a persona faith in God makes them that by default. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus was not an afterthought or sudden reaction to the condition of the world two-thousand years ago. God’s plan has always made provision to redeem humanity from sin.
