Wednesday – October 11th – Revelation 13:9-10 -----
13:9) If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10) He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
NO TRIAL TROUBLES THE CHILD OF GOD WHO KNOWS GOD HAS A REASON FOR ALLOWING IT.*
Hello Wednesday! Today’s inspirational thought is one that everyone of us needs to be reminded of throughout our lives. Let’s be honest, trials and troubles are never something any of us would wish to come our way. But we know trials and troubles are unavoidable no matter how we try to pattern our lives. Christian maturity comes with knowing that God can use every situation in our lives to help us grow as a follower of Jesus. God can even use us and our trials to be a witness to others. It is probably safe to say we will continue to do our best to avoid trials and troubles in our life, but when they do arrive, we will focus on how they might bring glory to God’s name.
In our pick verses today, John responds to the actions of the beast with what will be its punishment from God. Verse nine would typically be the postscript to the preceding verse, however in this instance the admonition for paying attention is for the verse that follows. Very simply for those who persecute Christians they will be judged harshly by God. The promise of God is very clear that the deliverance of His people is sure and certain. This powerful truth enables believers to have patience when we are persecuted for our faith. Jesus prophesied in His final days about the persecution facing first His followers, and then all Christian throughout the ages. The promise of God for believers is a blessed and joyous eternal life in Heaven, but until that day arrives, we must be prepared for the wrath of Satan and rejection by the world.
Blessings
