Wednesday – October 18th – Revelation 13:18 -----
13:8) Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
GOD DESERVES THE SAME PLACE IN YOUR HEART THAT HE HOLDS IN THE UNIVERSE.*
Happy Wednesday to you! Our inspirational thought today gives us a great opportunity to pause for a mid-week word of encouragement. I had to read today’s thought a couple of times and let its message and wisdom soak in before I truly grasped its deeper meaning. Our understanding and acceptance that God created all that exists is the foundational truth in this statement. When we believe that every created thing was done by God than we can better understand our relationship to Him. If God is able to create us, than our devotion and dedication can only be given to Him. When we hold back a piece of our heart (or lives) from God we will come away feeling incomplete and empty.
In our pick verse today, we arrive at the identification of the dreaded mark of the beast. If I had a dollar for every minute spent by others over the years attempting to decipher the best person associated with the number 666, I would have trillions of dollars and still no definitive answer. Deciphering the number 666 is simply speculative, but every trail should eventually lead to the reality it is the Antichrist. Who that person might be is not for us to know and will only be revealed in God’s perfect timing. Seven is the biblical number symbolize God’s perfection. The threefold repetition of the number six strongly indicates that the Antichrist falls completely short of God’s mark, he is totally deficient in every way possible. Those who chose to worship the Antichrist will be eternally sorry for their decision.
Blessings
