A very good Saturday to you! The weekend is here, and this Sunday is the beginning of a new six-week series “Don’t Give The Enemy A Seat At Your Table” based on the book by Louie Giglio. This series will blend the beauty of the beloved 23rd Psalm with its underlying message of victory in spiritual warfare. We will explore the most often used battleground by our enemy, the devil, and learn how to win the battle of our mind. Join us for week one as we talk about the battle before us. Live stream begins at 9:45am. In-building worship times are 8am and 9:45am.
In our pick verse today, John records the sounds of Heaven to include a new song. The only other “new song” in Revelation is the elder’s song in honor of the slain Lamb’s worthiness to take the scroll (5:9). They had sung about how His death had purchased people for God. Now, this new song is being lifted up by those very souls who Jesus redeemed for the Kingdom of Heaven. While John notes it is being sung, he does not write down the words since it is a song that lifts up the redemptive work of Jesus, only those who have been redeemed can sing its beautiful words. Someday my friends, we will have a change to lift our voices in Heaven and sing with those whom God’s grace has saved them from their/our sins.
