The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE OBJECT IN WITNESSING IS NOT TO WIN ARGUMENTS BUT TO WIN DISCIPLES.*
Hello Wednesday! Our inspirational thought for today is a great reminder to me that the work of salvation is all in the hands of the Holy Spirit. Our role in making disciples is to simply live our lives in the example of a fully committed follower of Jesus. We don’t, or shouldn’t, need to get our point across in any forceful way, but instead we should do and speak in such a way as to create in others an interest in what we believe. Once that door is opened then we can use our words to share what Jesus means to us. And only then will we be effective in populating the Kingdom of Heaven.
In our pick verse today, John now records the voice of a third angel bringing a message of doom on an unsaved and resistant world. This pronouncement of doom awaits anyone who worships the beast and his image and thus receives his mark. While sinful humanity is duped into believe the promises of the Antichrist, God is patiently waiting for His perfect plan to unfold. Within that waiting period always exists the opportunity for people to turn from their sinful way and idolatrous worship to seek the one true God. No soul, no matter how evil the human heart, is beyond God’s grace that seeks all that are lost and welcomes all that turn to Him. If God doesn’t give up on anyone than neither, should we.
Blessings
