Thursday – October 26th – Revelation 14:10 ------
14:10) he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
“GOD HAS SENT YOU TO TEACH US,” SAID NICODEMUS OF JESUS. JESUS WAS MORE—HE WAS GOD COME TO TEACH.*
Good Thursday to you! If you would like to get in a little extra practice on your serving (missions not pickleball) then mark on your calendar Saturday November 4th. Sign-ups for our quarterly Serve Saturday are now available on the SunRise events page (website or app). Mission opportunities are available for all ages of SunRise folks, including activities for kids and families. For those unavailable on Saturday morning, we have added an afternoon meal prep opportunity (3:30p-6p) at the Our Lady’s Inn on Hwy D near Defiance. Check out the sign-up pages for an opportunity to perfect your serve.
Our pick verse today is a continuation of John’s vision of the message from the third angel introduced in this fourteenth chapter of Revelation. The nations who have drunk the seductive wine of the prostitute Babylon will now drink of the wine of God’s fury. The combined fury of the dragon and of Babylon will pale in comparison to the perfectly dispensed fury of God Almighty. Obviously to be taken more figuratively than literally, punishment for the beast’s followers is now described for the first of several times as tormented with burning sulfur. The horse-demons in chapter nine had tormented and killed a third of humanity by fire, smoke, and sulfur. Now this same torment is poured out for ever and ever on all unrepentant humanity.
Blessings
Pastor Jim
Friday – October 27th – Revelation 14:11
