Tuesday – October 31st – Revelation 14:15 -----
14:15) And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
IF EVER A MAN WAS GOD, OR GOD MAN, JESUS WAS BOTH.*
Hurray for Tuesday! Besides being the last day of October, today is also Halloween. Officially it is known as the eve of All Saints Day and has often been associated with the release of evil upon the earth. Ever how you choose to celebrate today, please remember that above all else we are followers of the light of Jesus Christ and are to be an example that points others to Jesus. Our inspirational thought for today is a reminder of who we belong to and who we serve in this life. Only Jesus, as God in the flesh, can be fully human and fully divine. The creeds within the faith of Christianity affirms this unique nature of Jesus as God and man.
In our pick verses today, John records the second act in this current divine drama of God bringing the world to an end. Interesting, with Jesus leading the charge from Heaven, it is an angel that comes from the temple room of God that delivers the message for Jesus to gather the harvest of believers. The indication that the harvest is ripe symbolizes that the full number of conversions on earth has occurred and Jesus is coming for those who have made a new commitment to Jesus. While I have repeated several times that God is extremely patient with those who might come to Christ during the time of tribulation, there will be a moment in time when God will close this window of opportunity. Jesus’ second coming is the signal that time has run out.
Blessings
