Friday – November 3rd – Revelation 14:18 -----
14:18) And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe."
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TO KNOW GOD IS TO KNOW THAT HE SHOULD BE OBEYED.*
Happy Friday to you! I have mentioned that you have a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people around the world. Yes, on Monday SunRise will be holding its quarterly blood drive from 3:30p – 7:30p in the McClure lobby. I love our promotional slogan “if you really want to lend a hand, lend an arm”. Giving blood is a simple process of a slight “pinch” near the bend or your upper and lower arm followed by about 15 minutes of slowly squeezing a rubber ball. Your body and the highly trained techs do all the work – and you get the credit for helping to save lives. Sign-up on either the SunRise website or app by going through the “events” page. Thanks for helping out!
In our pick verse for today, we are introduced to yet “another” angel from Heaven who has a primary role in this end of the world drama being directed from the throne of God. Today’s angel is the only one of the four introduced in chapter fourteen that is said to have charge of the fire. This angel is given the task of commanding the previous sickle-wielding angel to begin the harvest of the earths unrepentant. The indication that the “grapes” are ripe means that full measure of sin and evil has been reached. The time for judgement has arrived. It is hard to imagine in our limited minds just how bad conditions on earth will become to fully achieve this prophesied fullness of sin and evil. Woe to those who fail to chose to accept God’s invitation to blessed peace in Heaven.
Blessings
