Saturday – November 4th – Revelation 14:19 -----
14:19) So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WE FIND IT EASIER TO GO TO CHURCH THAN TO BE THE CHURCH.*
Good Saturday to you! The first weekend of November is here and of course the obvious question is do you have your Christmas shopping done. Well, if you need a break for rushing store to store or swinging from your roof putting up Christmas lights, then be sure to “ink” in your worship time this weekend. We are ready for our third installment of our current series “Don’t Give The Enemy A Seat At Your Table”. This week we discuss the “battlefield of our mind”, that place where the devil does overtime work to distract us from our relationship with God. Join us in-building at 8am or 9:45am. For those unable to join us in person, livestream worship starts at 9:45am. See you in church!
In our pick verse. John records the work of the angel who is tasked with gathering the wicked for judgement. This “grape” harvest of the wicked is described in more detail than the previous “wheat” harvest of the righteous. As this vision unfolds for John’s readers, he paints a vivid picture of the wrath of God’s judgement and the horrors in store for those who have continued to resist His message. The image of both the thrusting of the angel’s sickle and the crushing work of God’s great winepress speak to the violent action that awaits the wicked of the earth. Tomorrow’s verse will give even greater detail of the scope of this judgement harvest.
Blessings
Pastor Jim
Sunday – November 5th – Revelation 14:20
