Hello Saturday! The weekend is here and our weekly reminder about the fantastic worship services scheduled for Sunday. Week number four of the “Don’t Give The Enemy A Seat” series will focus on discovering and implementing God’s intended path for our victory in all matters of spiritual warfare. When we become a follower of Jesus we automatically qualify as an enemy of evil. Spiritual warfare is an unavoidable “given” for those who identify with the Kingdom of Heaven. What is important to remember is that God does not leave us defenseless in our battles. God provides us with all the tools necessary to stand firm against the attacks leveled at us by the devil. Join us this weekend to learn your path to victory.
In our pick verse today, John records the next major step in the coming end of the world drama. Emerging from the open doored Temple, John sees seven angels coming out dressed in robes of royalty, similar to the priests who served God, first at the Tabernacle in the wilderness, and then at the Temple in Jerusalem. The symbolism of them coming out of the Temple strongly suggests that it is God Himself who is judging those who have purposefully and defiantly violated His law and word. The angels carried in their hands the seven final plagues intended for the rebellious inhabitants of the earth. As we read these events as recorded by John, I have to wonder what was happening on the earth and what was the perspective of humanity as these plagues were waiting to be unleashed. Jesus had stated in scripture that in the end times people will be going about their days, just as in the days of Noah, unaware or maybe unconcerned with what was about to happen.
