Sunday – November 12th – Revelation 15:7 -----
15:7) Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
ALL THE SORROWS OF FAITH PUT TOGETHER DO NOT EQUAL IN BITTERNESS ONE DROP OF THE SORROWS OF SIN.*
Happy Sunday to you! With the busy holiday season quickly approaching, I want to make sure you are fully connected to all the ways SunRise communicates “the latest” events happening throughout all the different ministry areas. First be sure you have the SunRise website tagged as one of your favorites in your web-browser. Second, sign up to receive the SunRise e-news by going to the home page of the website and filling out the request near the bottom of the page. Third, download the SunRise app from either your Apple or Android app store. Fourth, follow us on Facebook at SunRise Church O’Fallon, Mo. Fifth, subscribe to the SunRise Church O’Fallon YouTube channel. If you have all five of those excellent avenues of communication, you will never be out of the SunRise loop of events.
In our pick verse for today, John adds in the reemergence of one of the four living creatures who is now charged with preparing the seven angels for their tasks. Each of the angels received a bowl of God’s wrath to pour out on the earth. Bowls in John’s time were normally used for drinking wine. A bowl or cup of wine was a common Old Testament symbol of God’s judgement. It is important to note that the wrath of God does not mean God hates people, but He must justly judge their disobedience. As a note of clarity, John’s vision does not follow a strict timeline line we are accustomed to in western culture or literature. Instead, the sequence of events from the sounding of the trumpet in 11:15 to the unleashing of these seven angels happened without delay.
Blessings
