Sunday – November 19th – Revelation 16:5 -----
16:5) And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
IF THE YOUNG COULD BE OLD FOR A DAY, THEY WOULD NEITHER FEAR SO MUCH GROWING OLD NOR FOOLISHLY SQUANDER THE DAYS OF THEIR YOUTH.*
A very blessed and holy Sunday to you! Our inspirational thought today is real think starter. I do believe this thought applies to anyone of any age. Even those of us who collect social security still could benefit from the wisdom of not being fearful of the future and certainly could enhance the time we have today to better focus on our tasks as followers of Jesus. This thought also requires me to reflect back and think about things “squandered” in my life as a result of losing focus on who, and whose, I am. Maybe the biggest takeaway from this inspirational thought is that today is all that we have. We can’t change the past nor control the future, so we just need to make the most of this moment. Have a great Sunday!
In our pick verse today, a brief pause occurs between the completion of the third angel’s work and the coming appearance of the fourth angel of wrath. The devastation of the third bowl that turned all drinking water to blood is now interpreted by the angel in charge of the waters as giving glory to God’s holy name. This plague happens not because God is angry with nature, but because of His wrath against wicked deeds. He has designed a punishment to fit the crime. This action by God is reflected in the Jewish book “The Wisdom of Solomon” – one is punished by the very things by which one sins. The waters which one sustained life now become an instrument of God’s justice against sinful humanity.
Blessings
