Sunday – November 26th – Revelation 16:12     -----

16:2) Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
LEGALISM IS BOUND TO PRODUCE PRIDE OF HEART.*

A great Sunday to you! What a great day to worship God and give Him praise for all we have been blessed with in our lives. Our inspirational thought today is a must read before we head off to Sunday services. Legalism is an oft used strategy of the devil in his attempts to push us off base in our relationship with God. As a Christians it is very easy to fall into the trap of legalistic actions as we typically respond best to rules of dos and don’ts. If our church going is simply fulfilling a required obligation and not embracing an opportunity to freely worship God, then we have fallen for the tactics of the evil one. Come into the house of the Lord with joy and excitement.

In our pick verse today, John now observes the dispatching of the sixth angel and its bowl of wrath of which he gives more details than another other of the plagues. In fact, what John observes is so fierce that it comes to him in two parts separated by the voice of Jesus in verse fifteen. The contents of the sixth bowl landed on the Euphrates, drying up its waters completely. While seemingly simplistic in scope compared to the other nature centered plagues, the dry Euphrates riverbed creates the removal of a natural barrier to invading hordes from the east. They would now have full and easy access to what was previously challenging land to enter. From a symbolic standpoint, the throne of the beast was now in even greater peril to attacks and eventually defeat.
