Tuesday – December 5th – Revelation 16:21 -----
16:21) And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
YOU DO NOT CHOOSE TO BE IN THE BUSINESS OF BRINGING OTHERS TO CHRIST; YOU CHOOSE CHRIST AND ARE AT ONCE IN THE BUSINESS.*
Happy Tuesday! Our inspirational thought today is one of the most straightforward thoughts we have ever encountered. Signing up to be a follower of Jesus brings with it an automatic enrollment in faith sharing. How we accomplish this task can take a variety of shapes and forms. Our actions and reactions can either create in others an interest in knowing more about Jesus, or they can repel people from wanting anything to do with Christ and/or Christians. But we can’t be satisfied with people observing alone, there will come a time when we need to share “why” Jesus is important to us. My prayer is that we all have a short witness ready to share when the time presents itself. Remember that the Holy Spirit is ready to help us in our sharing the Gospel.
In our pick verse today, we come to the end of chapter sixteen and the conclusion of this part of John’s vision. We read that the sky literally falls to earth. Huge hailstones weighing about 100 pounds plummeted to earth. We all have probably experienced the damage from a golf-ball or baseball size hail. It is nearly impossible to visualize hailstones weighing a hundred pounds each composed of approximately twelve gallons of frozen water. The results in such a worldwide phenomenon would certainly destroy every earthly structure. Sadly, but predictable, the response of the wicked people (for a third time) is that they openly cursed God because of the events they were experiencing. This is the end of the world as we understand it to exist.
Blessings
